She came into our lives as a 4-month-old kitten, and for almost 15 years has been a part of my family. After fighting with feline diabetes for the past number of years, her condition worsened, and she developed diabetic ketoacidosis. Six days ago she stopped eating. So we finally made the hardest decision... to let her go instead of letting her suffer any longer.
This morning, she was taken to the vet and humanely put to sleep. This evening she will be buried under the apple trees with other family pets.
Beloved pet, four-legged sister, you will be forever missed
Rest in peace.

D: What a beautiful and elegant creature... Poor dear... You are a very strong and kind friend to put her out of her pain... I know how it feels to let a loved one go, I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you find peace in that you gave her a wonderful life and loved her as much as anyone possibly could.
