Fiery Double Tail - Betta Arrow

Last night I lost my beautiful red crowntail Searchlight to a fungal infection I caught too late. I spent more than an hour cleaning his old tank to make sure the next occupant (my dragon betta Red Amber) wouldn't come down with the same thing. This afternoon I was in at the pet store talking to the fish guy about treatments for fungal infections should any of my other bettas come down with one, when I noticed the flashy fins on the betta wall. November's fancy shipment had arrived from overseas. And this guy in particular caught my eye.

This is Arrow, a fancy double tail Siamese fighting fish. His head is black, his body a gorgeous blue, and his fins fiery red with a blue edge. His temperament, so far, matches his fins. He is all over his tank, dashing and darting and poofing out. With his fins at full fluff he looks like an arrowhead, or the world's crankiest valentine. Currently he's finning threats at a small sticker on the outside of the tank.
